COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Women who are military veterans in Ohio can now get a specialty license plate that highlights their service.
The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles is now offering the specialty plate to any woman currently serving or retired from the U.S. Marines, Navy, Army, Air Force or Coast Guard.
The plate was recently unveiled during a Statehouse ceremony, where five women were honored with the commemorative license plates.
The state says more than 67,500 female veterans live in Ohio.
Ohio offers almost 40 other military-related specialty license plates.
